Description
The demand for data has exceeded the traditional 1Gbs network standard capability. The MILTECH 9116 addressing the cost and roll-out constraints of 10 GbE in mobile military networks by supporting both 10 GbE copper ports for shorter-distanced connections and the option of 10 GbE fiber ports via tactical expanded beam connectors for longer-distances connections. The combination of inexpensive copper connections on 12 ports and TacBeam connectors on 2 or 4 ports make this one of the most cost-effective and easy-to-manage rugged 10 Gb Ethernet switch/routers on the market today. It supports Layer 2 and 3 network capabilities including VLANS, QoS, multicast routing (PIM) and dynamic routing (OSPF). Compact in size, it measures 16.8” x 8” x 2.8” and weighs just 8.8 lbs.
