Education/Experience/Training/Skills: 

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or related field

10+ years of experience as a financial controller

Experience in the defense industry and FAR/DFAR regulations desired

Experience working in an international corporation and working across cultures desired

Ability to interpret and analyze business periodicals, technical procedures and professional journals

Work experience with inventory

Effective presentation skills on complex topics to top management

Ability to respond effectively to complaints and sensitive inquiries

Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases (priority System – an advantage)

 

Requirements:

 

       Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

 

Summary:

 

Responsible for the financial operations of the business.  This covers the maintenance of a sufficient system of accounting records and generation of periodic financial reports.  The successful candidate will also be responsible for a complete set of budgets and controls intended to enhance the precision of reported financial outcomes, mitigate risks, and ensure that reported results comply with international financial reporting standards and regularly accepted accounting principles.  Will engage in all aspects of financial administration, such as budget and forecasts preparation, corporate accounting, cost accounting, development of internal control policies and procedures, and regulatory and financial reporting.

 

Job Description:

 

Process month, quarter and end year, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, cash flow, revenue, runs, fixed asset activity, inventory control, etc.

Assure timely and accurate creation, distribution, recording and tracking of all transactions, to include items such as customer invoices and collection, approve purchase orders and authorize payments to suppliers, and review and approve employee expenses.

Assure timely and accurate recording of employee time and ensures that payroll is executed on time.

 

Ensure that the Company financial management complies with all regulatory and government requirements. 

Support the creation, review and approval of price proposals in compliance with the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR). 

Preparation of budget, tracking of expenses and income against budget, and providing management with financial reports. 

Work with the corporate financial control and CFO to coordinate all financial activities. 

Responsible for tax reports, audits and compliance. 

Responsible for the determination and updates of rates, overhead, G&A, and other financial parameters. 

Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day financial activities.

Develop, improve, and issue monthly financial statements. Ensure that financial plans align with organizational goals. 

Manage commercial banking relationships to facilitate an appropriate credit resource under highly competitive terms.

Active participation in influencing business growth direction, product development, strategic planning, financial forecasting, and acquisition integration as a member of the management team.
